MySQL INSERT() Functions: Description
INSERT() Functions push newstring at specified place up to specified number of characters into existing string1. This will push a newstring at startpos upto given length into existing string1 to return replaced string.
MySQL INSERT() Functions: Parameter

Name, Required /Optional,Type, Description
string1, Required, String , It represents the valid input string.
startpos, Required, Numeric , It represents valid position to push newstring.
length, Required, Numeric , It represents the number of characters to be changed in string1.
newstring, Required, String , It represents valid newstring to be pushed.

Return, Description
string1, with the substring beginning at position startpos and length characters long replaced by the string newstring.
string1, if startpos is not within the length of the string.
replaced string1, Replaces the rest of the string from position startpos if length is not within the length of the rest of the string.
NULL, if any of the input is NULL. See example 3.
